TAIT WALKER SELECTS MYFIRMSAPP TO CREATE ITS FIRST CUSTOM APP TO STREAMLINE MOBILE COMMUNICATION WITH CLIENTS
The new App is an important part of the firm’s preparations for Making Tax Digital and new General Data Protection Regulations
MyFirmsApp, the UK Software Company and largest global custom App platform in the world for accountants in practice, announced today that Tait Walker, the award winning North East accountancy firm, has selected MyFirmsApp to develop its first custom branded mobile App. Tait Walker has been looking for a new way to communicate with clients in the most relevant and convenient way for them and recognises that Smartphones and Tablets are now the most popular way to browse the Internet, with Apps an essential part of the experience.
With offices in Newcastle, Northumberland and Tees Valley and employing c150 team staff, Tait Walker is a member of the Macintyre Hudson Association (MHA), which comprises 8 independent accountancy practices and 50 offices nationwide. Two other member firms, Monahans and Carpenter Box, have also selectedMyFirmsApp in recent months and are already benefiting from a proven blueprint, in-built tools and integrations in a tailored mobile version of their business.
Alastair Wilson, Tax Partner, Tait Walker commented: “Increasingly, our clients are using Apps rather than email and in terms of security, we feel more comfortable that any communication from us is going straight to the client on their phone and not on a desktop screen that others may be able to access. The introduction of new General Data Protection Regulations requires that we gain permission from our clients to communicate about new services with them and the App gives us an easy way to gain this approval.”
By bringing together client accounts, finance and tax information, calculations, tools and systems in one easily accessible place, the firm is actively demonstrating that it understands – and is responding to – changing expectations around the accessibility and availability of services and support through mobile devices. “The App enables us to supply our clients with tools that add value such as the mileage tracker and expense tracker. We also believe that the trackers will be useful to our own members of staff to keep track of their expenses and mileage rather than use a manual log,” adds Alastair Wilson.
As the firm prepares for the introduction of Making Tax Digital, Alastair believes that most of the firms’ clients will prefer to send information to the firm using their mobile phones. “We are tailoring the way we communicate and moving away from the old idea of books and records,” he says.
Dan Richards, Head of Sales, MyFirmsApp said: “We are thrilled to be working with Alastair, Kirsty and the broader Tait Walker team. Their App will resonate across many aspects of their business; saving time for both the firm and their clients. The MyFirmsApp platform is uniquely placed to give Tait Walker the functionality required to prepare for MTD, facilitate mobile communication with clients that is proven to be 5x more effective at reaching recipients than email, open a powerful marketing channel, and make the firm irreplaceable in the digital and mobile relationship. The team here is ready to work closely with Tait Walker, as we do with all clients, so they get the very most from their own App – within the firm, with clients, and as part of their marketing.”
MyFirmsApp is the leader in its field, creating effective, affordable and reliable Apps for accountancy practices such as Tait Walker. Every single App is
fully endorsed and compliant with industry professional bodies and is constantly updated to include the latest technology, saving firms time and money.
