It will be one of the most lavish nights in recognising the best talent and organisations in the region.
Shortlisted as a finalist
The Dubai team is extremely thrilled to be shortlisted alongside companies like AXA Insurance (Gulf), British Council, Fine Hygienic Holding and Merck Sharp and Dohme Idea. It is a great privilege for us to be recognised as an organisation with one of the best diversity and inclusion strategies. You can see all other shortlisted companies for all categories here.
Our Diversity & Inclusion Strategy
At SThree Dubai, we strive to have an inclusive workplace where diverse opinions and perspectives are valued and true meritocracy exists. With a purpose to bring skilled people together to build the future, we do this through guiding key principles – Build Trust, Care then Act, Be Clear then Aim High – which have helped us to promote a sense of belonging, collective purpose and inclusion within the team.
Both on a global and local level, we have taken initiatives to address gender inequality by establishing our female leadership development programme called IdentiFy to support women in the business to progress in their leadership role within SThree. To complement IdentiFy, we have also conducted gender parity initiatives externally to ensure that female talent thrives in any STEM market. In response to the current lack of female candidates in STEM markets, we actively promote opportunities for gender diversity within the industry through interviews with senior female leaders in the industry. Other collaboration included partnerships with clients on their gender diversity campaigns, advising them on interview processes, removing unconscious bias and practising awareness on gender-specific behaviours.
Beyond that, we placed a focus on our CSR programme which have benefitted more than 6,000 people since 2011. Last year, we launched a new partnership with the African Science Academy, empowering females in Africa to attend leading universities and become future leaders in STEM. Apart from this, we work with the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children by delivering a series of employment workshops that included interview preparation, CV workshop and covered interview etiquette, what to wear, the dos and don’ts amongst many others.
Most importantly, our people. We ensure to hire a diverse group of individuals and measure their capabilities through a specific competency review that removes any unconscious bias. As such, we have found ourselves to be one of the most diverse offices with 12 different nationalities. We engage with the different cultures, celebrate the different festivals and as an office, really appreciate the supportive and empowering environment.
Big thank you to all our clients, candidates and Future of Workplace Awards
We are truly humbled to be a finalist and would like to extend a big thank you to the judging committee for recognising the initiatives we have internally and externally. And thank you to our clients and candidates who believe in our vision and the partnerships we have over the years. Most importantly, we want to show our appreciation to the Dubai team for their hard work, positivity and inclusive attitude that have made the office a great place to work in.
If you would like to find out why our people love working with us, get in touch with our talent acquisition manager Salwa Omerzai at [email protected] who will be able to share more.
