Previously Head of the London &International team, Nick oversees the national Tax, Trusts &Estates practice across the leading law firm’s 14 offices. Nick’s promotion marks an important step for Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth, which recently named Ros Bever as National Head of Family Law, towards offering clients a full private client service across the UK.

Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth was launched in May 2016, with the intention of better serving its clients across the country by bringing together four key practice areas of Tax, Trusts &Estates, Family, Residential Property and Will, Trust &Estate Disputes.

Craig Marshall, Chief Executive of Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth, said: “The national Tax, Trusts & Estates team has already had some great success and recent hires show the development of the team into a recognised brand famed for both its expertiseand its client service. We plan to build on this position by further establishing national centres of excellence for this work, investing in client feedback and making sure that the service we offer meets their needs effectively.

George Merrylees is an expert acrossa full range of UK tax advice for international clients, including structuring UK business and property assets for clients abroad. George acts for business owners, high-net-worth individuals and familiesprimarily based in Europe and Africa. He works very closely with French business groups and organisations.

We are carving out a reputation for high-quality advicethat clients can understand and which really helps them achieve their goals. I’m looking forward to leading the Tax, Trusts & Estates team as we seek to help many more private clients in the coming years.

As Brexit affects our lives more and more over the next few years more people will need international expertise as they review their lives and finances.”

In the past few months Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth’s national Tax, Trusts & Estates team has recently added new Partners Kelly Greig, Andrew Parry and David Bird while Residential property Partner Jeremy Raj also joined the London office.
