Randy Larson – Empowering Financial Success Through Servant Leadership and Unwavering Faith
Randy Larson
For Randy Larson, co-founder of 25 Financial and The Larson Law Firm, LLC, life is not just about achieving financial success – it’s about living with purpose, serving others, and leaving a lasting impact on the world.
Guided by a deep-rooted faith and a commitment to servant leadership, Larson has built a career dedicated to empowering high-net-worth individuals, families, and medical professionals to navigate the complexities of financial planning and asset protection.
Transformative Experience
Larson’s journey into the world of finance and law began with a transformative experience during his college years. At the age of 19, he hit rock bottom and found himself sitting in the back of a church sanctuary, searching for direction. In a moment of inspiration, he signed up to teach Sunday school, not realizing that this decision would shape the course of his life.
“I sat in the back of the sanctuary. In the announcements, they asked if anyone would like to teach Sunday school. I signed my name on a dotted line after service and almost the very next week had about 8-10 crazy 5th graders that I was supposed to teach the Bible to,” Larson recalls.
As he taught the children, Larson discovered his gift for connecting with others and sharing his knowledge. The experience ignited a passion for servant leadership that would guide him through seminary, law school, and beyond.
Expertise and Passion
Today, Larson brings that same passion and dedication to his role as a trusted financial advisor and attorney. With a J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation from Washington University in St. Louis and a Certified Financial Planner® designation, he combines his extensive knowledge with a genuine desire to help his clients achieve their goals.
Larson’s approach to financial planning goes beyond simply crunching numbers. He takes the time to understand each client’s unique needs, dreams, and challenges, crafting comprehensive strategies that encompass investments, estate planning, business law, and asset protection.
Protecting Medical Professionals
For doctors and dentists, Larson’s expertise in asset protection is particularly valuable. Through The Larson Law Firm, LLC, he helps medical professionals safeguard their hard-earned wealth, ensuring that they can focus on providing exceptional care to their patients without worrying about financial vulnerabilities.
Serving the Community
But Larson’s impact extends far beyond the confines of his office. Guided by his faith and a commitment to living authentically, he dedicates his time and resources to serving his community and those in need.
From teaching youth group and Sunday school for over 25 years to participating in mission trips and hosting thousands of people at his home for various events, Larson embodies the spirit of generosity and compassion. He and his wife have purchased cars for single moms, provided rent-free housing for families in need, and donated a significant portion of their profits to charitable causes.
“We literally have thousands of stories to choose from,” Larson shares, recounting the countless lives he and his family have touched through their acts of kindness and service.
Leadership Philosophy
In his book “Give and Take,” author Adam Grant categorizes professionals into four groups: givers (who unselfishly prefer to give more than take), takers (who selfishly prefer to take more than give), matchers (who believe in quid pro quo), and fakers (takers disguised as givers).
Up until three years ago, it was believed that “nice guys finish last” in business, and studies have shown this to be true. However, Grant also reveals that givers are the most successful, earning more money and being well-liked by colleagues, in their respective fields. Matchers, takers, and fakers typically fall in the middle, but givers, who possess additional characteristics such as not being doormats or chumps, dominate the top ranks across various professions.
This phenomenon is not a result of mysterious karma but is based on evidence, such as studies showing that people tend to support givers. Matchers will go out of their way to bring justice by recognizing a giver who is overlooked and may even sacrifice their own interests to punish a selfish taker.
Randy Larson has experienced firsthand the success of putting others’ needs before his own, inspired by Jesus’ example. He finds immense joy in watching others flourish in life and business, even when it offers no personal benefit. This approach has led to others being motivated to lift him up, making success come more easily and fostering a cycle of giving. This creates a synergistic and thriving professional ecosystem.
Family: The Cornerstone
Despite his many accomplishments, Larson remains grounded and focused on what matters most – his family. Happily married for 20 years to his high school sweetheart and blessed with five children, he cherishes the time he spends with his loved ones.
“My wife of 20 years is my best friend. She is my one and only since high school and there has never been anyone but her. I still have dreams of her and she tells me I kiss her at night with my eyes open. I wake up only remembering her sweet dream. I live the marriage that everyone wants and count myself immensely blessed beyond any monetary benefit,” Larson shares, expressing his deep love and appreciation for his wife.
Advice for the Journey
As he reflects on his journey and the advice he would give his younger self, Larson emphasizes the importance of humility, forgiveness, and trust in God’s plan.
“Be humble (low view of your self-importance) and meek (strength under control) in everything. Do not chase accolades or records. Live quietly and work hard. Forgive (but not necessarily trust), everyone, everyday. Never hold a grudge or let bitterness creep in. Never have self-pity but be grateful, even in suffering. Do not repay evil for evil, but turn the other cheek,” Larson advises.
He also stresses the importance of starting each day by dedicating time to God, saying, “Better is one day in His Courts, better is one day in His house than thousands elsewhere – He has all the answers to be successful in business, family, etc… Why rush off from His presence? Listen to Him carefully and often. He will tell you what to do and will never leave you. Trust Him with all your heart. Do not lean on your own understanding of things. Things will work out if you obey Him….beyond your wildest imagination, better than you ever thought possible!”

Through his work at 25 Financial and The Larson Law Firm, LLC, his dedication to his community, and his commitment to his family, he demonstrates that true wealth lies not in the accumulation of assets but in the lives one touches and the legacy one leaves behind.
