Fintech company Capital.com has appointed former IG and CMC Senior Analyst David Jones as Chief Market Strategist, further solidifying its commitment to becoming the most popular, personalised and easy to use trading platform.

As a qualified technical analyst, David brings extensive experience in financial markets, having begun his financial career as a currency analyst in the 1990s. More recently David has held senior analyst positions at CMC Markets and IG Group, where he provided regular market commentary to media and clients, and devised and ran a wide range of educational programmes. From 2015, David was the markets presenter on the popular BBC Radio 5 programme, Wake Up To Money and has also consulted within the financial trading industry providing education and market content for a wide range of clients around the world.

Ivan Gowan, CEO of Capital.com states, “We’re thrilled to have David join our team. His knowledge and experience is unrivalled and with almost 30 years of financial experience under his belt, he brings additional expert trading insight to the company.”

David adds, “In what is a competitive business I am looking forward to working together and helping further educate our clients in trading strategies and keeping them up to date with the major events driving financial markets. Capital.com is disrupting the trading space through its innovative products and has already proved itself to be a responsible and ethical platform, which is why I’m really excited to join the team.”

David’s hire follows the appointment of Ivan Gowan to CEO at Capital.com and also the launch of the company’s trading educational app, Investmate, a free to download app that delivers a range of educational content, including interactive courses, quizzes, and articles, aimed at teaching amateur traders about investment best-practices.

Capital.com will be producing a video series with David that will help customers dive into the world of trading and get to grips with the most complex financial concepts. Through this, and its Investmate app, Capital.com aims to make the world of finance more accessible, engaging and useful.
