ONPEX, The Online Payment Exchange, has announced the appointment of Eddie Wong as Head of Business Development.
Wong assumes responsibility for leading ONPEX’s global business development as the company continues its global expansion into emerging markets including Asia and Latin America. His appointment follows an impressive period of growth for the business, with the appointment of new Sales Partners in the USA, Korea, Hong Kong and China. In 2014 ONPEX doubled its employee base and its sales and revenue figures increased by 200%.
With over 18 years of international business development experience, Wong is perfectly positioned to drive and develop ONPEX’s expansion plans. Prior to joining ONPEX, Wong led highly successful business development initiatives at large corporations including Accenture, Air France, KLM, Singapore Airlines, GlobalCollect (Ingenico Group) and Adyen.
Speaking about Wong’s appointment, Christoph Tutsch, Founder and CEO of ONPEX, said: “We are delighted to have Eddie join us to help lead ONPEX’s continuing global growth and development. He has a proven track record of developing organisations, increasing their revenue and international reach. His global expertise will help drive the next chapter of ONPEX’s growth and innovation”.
On his appointment Wong added: “As ONPEX enters its next stage of development, I am really looking forward to building on the great foundations the company has already laid. By moving into new and emerging territories we are excited to continue expanding our global reach, making more simple payment methods available to merchants all around the world.”
