Global App platform for Accountants, this afternoon released Budget Updates that are now live on over a thousand accounting firms’ Apps.  Headline news from the Autumn Budget 2017 will reach more than a quarter of a million UK businesses on the home screens of their Smartphones.

The MyFirmsApp team will be updating the Budget News area of the App throughout the day and giving businesses a running commentary on the key announcements including news that the UK growth forecast has been cut sharply and looking at what the stamp duty change will mean to first time buyers. A Budget Pack containing all today’s announcements will be available this evening.

“Keeping up to date at this important time is a key service we offer via our App,” says Joel Oliver, CEO, MyFirmsApp.  “Not only do our App customers benefit from this directly, but more importantly, their clients do too. Our customers are in a position to be able to provide this valuable service to their clients which only goes to help underline their position as trusted advisors.”

Mobile Apps are now a primary channel and it’s clear that mobile is presenting businesses with an unparalleled opportunity for accountants to engage directly with their clients. Apps are easy to access through an icon on the home screen; no URLs are required and they currently provide the best experience on mobile devices.

Globally, time spent in Apps has nearly doubled over the past two years and, on average, consumers spend 2 hours per day in Apps. According to App Annie, the market data and analytic company, in 2021, users will spend more than 3 trillion hours in Apps globally and rapid, sustained growth is expected across the App economy.

    Putting accountants first

MyFirmsApp gives accountancy firms an affordable branded presence in the mobile world on the devices of their clients and staff. The App platform provides a suite of compliant and approved tax tools, calculators, mileage and income trackers, receipt management, finance news, calendars and push notifications that make direct communication easier. MyFirmsApp operates the largest global custom App platform in the world for Accountants in practice providing the only compliant UK solution that’s used by over 250,000 people.
