    Quartet of hotel giants simplify virtual card communications by registering to receive secure emails through Conferma Connect

    Global hotel groups, Mantra Group, Best Western,Choice Hotels and AccorHotels have registered their Australasian properties to receive virtual cards via an industry-leading PCI-complaint secure email communication system. Conferma Connect is powered by Conferma, a leading FinTech specialising in virtual card innovation. Conferma Connect signals the end of hotels’ reliance on fax, ensuring quick, secure and successful virtual card payments via a simple and efficient email exchange.

    More than 700 of the groups’ hotels across the Australasian region are registered, allowing them to deliver a smooth digital end-to-end experience for business travellers during check-in and check-out.

    Conferma Connect is a proprietary solution that automatically finds the best way to securely transmit virtual card information via a PCI-compliant email system, eliminating the need to fax payment details. It simplifies the transaction process and provides travel managers with real-time data on travel spending.

    Until Conferma Connect was introduced in 2016, fax was the only PCI-compliant way to transmit virtual card details – a method that has proven increasingly challenging to business efficiency for reconciliation, due to the declining use of fax technology.

    Conferma’s association with the four hotel giants reflects the huge popularity and adoption of virtual card payments in the corporate travel sector across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region in recent years.

    Simon Barker, CEO of Conferma, added: “Virtual cards have transformed the payments landscape globally in recent years. However, until now, the need to use fax to make secure, PCI-compliant virtual card transactions has presented a particular challenge for the hospitality industry in Australasia, as many hotels in the region no longer have fax machines.
