19th October 2016, The Belfry, Sutton Coldfield –
Business leaders will gain insights on digital transformation from the worlds of finance, retail, health, and space exploration at this year’s InterSystems UK Technology Summit. Delegates will connect and collaborate with peers to discuss the technologies, strategies and methodologies that will enable them to gain competitive advantage.
InterSystems, the global information technology leader, will host the event on 19th October at The Belfry, Sutton Coldfield. The annual summit showcases real-world innovation and IT success stories through presentations and live demonstrations.
The European Space Agency will demonstrate how it is using big data to map the Milky Way and plot the course for exciting new missions involving the International Space Station and solar observatory.
Electronics retail giant Maplin and integration partner Integrella will show how data-driven customer insight is enhancing Maplin’s business operations, whilst retail solutions provider Sanderson will speak about how it is using InterSystems technology with Tottenham Hotspur FC to support a multichannel sales strategy.
Northgate Public Services will show how it is helping police forces across the UK enhance public safety by improving the user experience, breaking down data silos, and enabling digital workflows.
Visionaries from 451 Research and InterSystems itself will share how leveraging big data at scale can support business growth. And a hands-on experience lab will show businesses how to take live data from Internet of Things devices and feed it into business processes, and help them realise the potential of untapped unstructured data on which many enterprises will increasingly depend.
This year’s summit also includes a workshop that will examine the impact of Brexit on financial services with leading business website FStech, and another session that will help businesses plot a course for enterprise-level digital transformation with Accenture Digital.
Information governance is a key theme of this year’s UK Technology Summit. With increasing scrutiny on the appropriate use of data in health and business, as with the recent Caldicott review of the use of data in healthcare, it is essential that businesses understand how to use personal data to harness technology in a regulated market environment.
Mark Palmer, country manager at InterSystems, said, “This event is a highlight of the year for us, as it gives us an opportunity to engage with our clients and learn from shared experiences on using technology to drive change that brings enormous benefits. Scalable, interoperable technology is making a huge difference to the modern enterprise, and this event will show businesses how digital transformation can support their business strategy.”
