Jason F. Hoffman joins the D.C. office as Partner
BakerHostetler is proud to announce that Partner Jason F. Hoffman has joined the firm, resident in the Washington, D.C. office, as a member of the Intellectual Property Group. He comes to BakerHostetler from Fisch Hoffman Sigler LLP, where he was a founding partner.
Hoffman is an accomplished patent litigator and appellate advocate. His more than 15 years of experience litigating patents includes numerous representations in the Eastern District of Texas, the Federal Circuit, and in post-grant proceedings. Hoffman advises clients regarding all aspects of intellectual property, and his experience extends across numerous technologies, including computer hardware and software, electronics, financial transactions, image sensors, mobile phones, retail point-of-sale systems, stored value cards, and video streaming. He has been successful on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants.
“Jason is a top-notch IP litigator,” said John Weber, National Chair of BakerHostetler’s Intellectual Property Group. “Our clients will benefit from his trial experience — whether he’s enforcing or defending their intellectual property rights or attempting to avoid litigation altogether with innovative litigation strategies.”
“We are delighted to have Jason on our IP team,” said Jeffrey H. Paravano, Managing Partner of the Washington, D.C. office. “He will help keep our clients on track by knowing their businesses well, proactively advancing strategies and solutions, and assisting clients with understanding what the law requires, allows and protects, in addition to advising them based on what good judgment suggests given our team members’ own backgrounds and experiences.”
“I am extremely excited to join BakerHostetler, especially in light of the depth and breadth of its IP practice and its strong national platform,” said Hoffman. “I look forward to serving our clients alongside some of the best attorneys in the business.”
Hoffman is a recognized leader on intellectual property litigation topics, and his cases have been featured in multiple publications, including Law360, The Wall Street Journal Law Blog, and The Globe and Mail. He is a 1997 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, cum laude, received his B.A. from Brandeis University in 1994, magna cum laude, and started his legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable James M. Rosenbaum, United States District Judge for the District of Minnesota.
