CDO will report directly into Paul Pester, Chief Executive Officer
TSB Bank plc announced the appointment of Ashley Machin who joins as the Bank’s Chief Digital Officer. Ashley will report directly into Paul Pester, TSB’s Chief Executive and will have a seat on the Bank Executive Committee.
Paul Pester, Chief Executive Officer for TSB Bank, says: “We’ve been clear all along that in addition to a strong and well distributed branch network, a forward thinking digital approach is essential in helping us deliver local banking for Britain. This is why I’m delighted Ashley is joining us.
“Ashley’s experience is impressive which matches our ambition to deliver excellent customer experience through our digital channels. TSB is a different sort of bank, one that firmly believes in providing its customers the flexibility to let them bank in a way which suits them which is why we’ve recently announced a £250 million investment in our ‘bricks and clicks’ model.”
Ashley Machin, Chief Digital Officer, for TSB Bank, says: “I can’t wait to join TSB on 6 October – the Bank has achieved so much in just over a year, I’m looking forward to being part of the next chapter of its story.
“I intend to deliver to our customers the best possible digital experience there is – as we understand better how people want to bank with us, we will develop the best tools and services for them.”
Ashley Machin will join TSB on Monday 6 October. The Bank’s existing digital team will move reporting line from Nigel Gilbert, TSB’s Chief Marketing and Communications Officer to Ashley once he’s in place.
TSB is a high street bank, not a Wall Street bank. Our straightforward and simple approach to banking is designed to deliver the kind of bank people tell us they want. Every penny our customers deposit with us is used to support mortgages and loans for other TSB customers and nothing else. This is what we mean by local banking for Britain.
