Alternative Investment Industry veterans Sarah Colvin of Twin Capital Management; Tom Munster of Clinton Group; and Elana Margulies Snyderman of EisnerAmper, will host the inaugural Wall Street Unplugged (WSU) 2015 Jam Session Monday evening, November 9th at Turtle Bay NYC on 987 Second Avenue in New York to raise money for three childrens’ charities: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Toys for Tots and Phyt Cares.
JDRF is the leading global organization funding Type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Toys for Tots collects new and unwrapped toys during the Holiday Season in October, November and December each year and distributes them as gifts to less fortunate children. Phyt Cares is the non-profit arm of 1-on-1 private training facility Phyt NYC whose fitness programs empower and educate youth 2-to-18-years-old to live an active and healthy lifestyle. More information on the three charities is available at: www.jdrf.org, www.toysfortots.org and www.phytcares.org.
Wall Street Unplugged’s Headline Band which begins at 7:30pm is Tom Munster & Behind Closed Doors (BCD) featuring Colvin, a career musician before joining the hedge fund industry in 2006, as guest vocalist. The Jam Session which begins at 8:45pm features musical guest Tony T. and members of the City Express Band. More information on both bands is available at http://www.bcdband.com and http://www.tonytorchestra.com.
“I am excited to team up with two alternative investment veterans, Tom Munster and Elana Margulies Snyderman to host our inaugural Wall Street Unplugged event and for the industry to join together and support three amazing childrens’ charities,” said Sarah Colvin of Twin Capital Management. “BCD is awesome! In the music world we’d say ‘these guys are monsters’! They are so much fun to play with and have such a tight sound. Tony T. is a natural choice to host the jam session – they are exceptional musicians, like a live band karaoke machine that can play hundreds of songs. I am grateful to our sponsors, the Clinton Group and Twin Capital Management’s founder David Simon through the David Simon Foundation, for helping us to make this event a reality and am pleased to have the full support and backing of the trifecta of hedge fund marketing and branding Connext Consulting, Ovis Creative and Hedge Fund PR who have been generous with their time and resources every step of the way,” Tom Munster of Clinton Group added. “There are so many great musicians in the hedge fund industry; we wanted to showcase them for a night in an inclusive and fun environment that supports three deserving charities. I hope they will come out, bring their instruments and play or sing with us for hours!”
