French PM Bayrou refuses to suspend Macron's pension reform, urging discussions by autumn. Socialist leader Faure seeks a government deal.
PARIS (Reuters) - French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou has told political leaders that he will not suspend or repeal President Emmanuel Macron's controversial pension reform law, a source from Macron's camp told Reuters.

Socialist leader Olivier Faure told BFM TV earlier on Tuesday that his party, which wants Bayrou to suspend the pension reform, could be steps away from a possible deal with the French government.
