Customers of both companies can now transact electronic Bills of Lading (eBLs) through single interface on BSM Global solution

Bolero, the world-leader in trade finance instruments, electronic presentation and contract settlement, has entered into partnership with BSM Global, the Australia-based consulting and solutions company assisting importers and exporters to optimise trade execution processes.

The collaboration between BSM and Bolero evolved after Cargill Australia, a large agribusiness and BSM customer, adopted the Bolero ePresentation platform for electronic trade documents.

The new partnership means customers using both companies can now use a secure, single interface on the BSM Global solution to prepare and send documents in support of electronic bills of lading (eBLs), slashing time and costs.

A gateway between the Bolero platform and the BSM solution allows customers to complete the documentation required in support of eBLs on the BSM solution before finalising the eBL transaction using the Bolero technology. This eradicates the need for downloading and transferring of documentation between the two solutions.

BSM, which has customers around the globe and wide experience of facilitating transactions involving Australian agricultural commodities, is now certified as a Bolero partner, marking the success of the integration between the two solutions.

“We are very excited about obtaining Bolero integration accreditation and achieving this very significant partnership,” said BSM’s Managing Director, Robert Flemming. “We believe that the association with Bolero will add value to many existing customers. The alignment of BSM solutions to incorporate Bolero functionality was a logical addition to the suite of solutions that BSM provides to large commodity trading organisations.”

The new partnership with BSM follows Bolero’s successful integrations with companies such as SureComp and Globalshare, and is another indication of Bolero’s flexibility in meeting end-user requirements around the world.

“We are delighted to have embarked on this win-win partnership with BSM Global, making operations easier and reducing costs for customers using our eBLs,” said Ross Wilkinson, Regional Director for Bolero, Asia Pacific.

“The pressures within international trade mean end-users need to obtain easy access to complete solutions and by adding a tool to the highly-regarded BSM solution we are saving customers time and cost. Bolero is renowned for its flexibility and through the integration of our market-leading platform with BSM’s portal, we are delivering very significant added value to customers without any disruption.”
